Mosaic and Herringbone Parquet Flooring

With this church in Tipperary the client wanted something with a bit more detail in their parquet flooring. This altar had been completely covered in carpet and had been well worn over the years, so we removed everything and completely leveled the concrete floors to allow a smooth transition for the laying of the traditional parquet flooring.

We showed the client our stunning solid oak tumbling block mosaic parquet flooring and they completely fell in love with the intricate design. So we decided to mix it together with the stunning herringbone design also and introduced a solid black American Walnut inlay all around the triple border area.

We then had to make up some solid oak steps and risers, which was then supplied and fit the complete way around the altar area which when completed really gave a lift to the whole design of the altar. When all the fitting was completed we sanded and polished with an enhanced colour tone to really bring out the grain and new design of the mosaic and herringbone parquet flooring.
